About Us

A "Family Preserve"
1
This old family farm has been in the Acee family for over 20 years where we have not only operated a dairy and crop business but have tried many other business ventures. In memory of the old days of pheasant hunting locally Ron(owner), his father Sam and their faithful dog Gus made a few trips out to the Dakotas. These unforgettable trips where the inspiration of the newest business venture to take place on this beautiful 500+ acre property.

Along with pheasant hunting we also host Continental Tower shoots and Flyer shoots. We have a few annual events and will accommodate large private or corporate outings. Also available during season are guided turkey and waterfowl hunts.

To get started the sporting clays facility is open multiple days for open shooting with no membership needed. Future goals are to run some yearly leagues and become a NSCA registered club hosting tournaments. For the time being we are offering monthly fun shoots. The fun shoots generally consist of 100 targets, lunch, prizes and just a good old time for all.

As of 2008 VNSP has been offering very natural pheasant hunting packages for over 10 years. The diversified 500+ acre terrain is managed with outstanding and varied covers from corn, sorghum, sunflowers and natural grass to plantations of evergreens, hardwoods, extensive brush and hedge rows all offering a natural, challenging hunt.

The pheasant hunting has grown into a semi private membership club where the members can come and hunt at any time. Members also utilize the property in the off season to keep their dogs working and to train that new companion. We still offer non-member hunts as well.

Around 2005 Ron and his son Jason began running a 5 stand field for clay shooting and another amenity for the preserve. With good results and the need to expand, in 2008 they have now opened a new state of the art fully automated sporting clays facility. Currently the course contains 10 stations and 3-5 more are in the works for the fall of 2008.

Our newest venture is a Golf and Sporting clays event that we hope to also run monthly if not yearly. These two sports go very well together and make for a great event. The event is a partner’s challenge using a modified Stableford System of scoring. We will continue to shoot the clays at our facility and try to play a different golf course each time. Come join us for the fun.

Our future goals are to continually add more and more outdoor and sportsman amenities to our facilities. Some ideas are camping sites, horse stables and riding trails and other shooting options such as rifle, pistol and archery.

Please contact us or view other areas of this site for detail on how to have the time of your life on this continually growing shooting preserve!
